MUDEFORD SUNDAY NETBALL SEASON ROUND UP

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CHAMPIONS

DESPERATE PITCHES

In the world of Netball, the Mudeford Sunday League came to a thrilling conclusion last night, wrapping up its 10th and final week of the season. 

Desperate Pitches outlasted Game of Throws in a hotly contested winner takes all match, the final score 26-19 to Pitches. Despite the loss, Game of Throws' star player, Sarah Bowen, stood out with her exceptional skills and commitment, earning her the title of "Most Valued Player" of the week. Congratulations to Jacqueline and her team Desperate Pitches on winning the title by the narrowest of margins.

Other games saw a nail-biting contest as Winging It had a narrow victory against Allsorts with a final score 10-7. The Sweaty Bettys also prevailed in a close encounter against the Net Ninjas, ending the game with a score of 18-13.

After a season filled with extraordinary plays and unforgettable matches, Desperate Pitches emerged as the champions of the Premier League division. With a total of 46 points and 9 wins to their credit, Desperate Pitches demonstrated consistency and fortitude throughout the season.

Well done to Hannah Harvey of Game Of Throws who won the Player Of The Season award.

Finally a huge thank you to Sam for running the evening so well every week, it is her dedication to the league in all weather conditions week in week out that make it what it is. Also thank you to Ron for covering when needed. 

We look forward to another exciting season this winter, as the teams regroup and prepare to take on the challenge once again. Thank you to all our players. Rich and Kate.
