The St Dominics Priory School was abuzz with energy and camaraderie during Week 2 of the social netball season. As the sun set, players of all experience levels came together in a celebration of sportsmanship, meeting new people and developing their skills in a supportive environment. The air was electric with positive energy, as the spirit of the game was very much alive and in full swing.
The first match of the evening saw All Game lock horns with Footwork And Fancy. The game ended with All Game scoring 10 and Footwork And Fancy finishing strong with 16 points. The game was a spectacle of teamwork and commitment from both sides, creating an enjoyable atmosphere that was palpable to all present.
Next up, Bluebirds faced off against Hoops We Did It Again. Despite the energetic efforts from both sides, the match ended in a friendly draw, with each team scoring 19. The game was a display of vibrant sportsmanship and collective hard work, with players from both teams complimenting each other's playstyle, truly encapsulating the spirit of social netball.
In the final game of the evening, Red Blossoms and Lashes And Passes shared an exciting match. With a close finish of 13-12 in favor of Red Blossoms, the game was an exceptional show of deft footwork, precise passes and unyielding spirit, proving social netball is as thrilling as it is enjoyable.
A special mention goes out to our Most Valued Player of the evening. Their enthusiasm, dynamic movement across the court, and positive contribution were appreciated not just by their own teammates, but by opponents as well. A true embodiment of the spirit of social netball, their influence was a joy to behold.
