On a lovely evening at St Domincs Priory School, players of all experience levels gathered for Week 6 of the social netball season. The atmosphere was buzzing with warm camaraderie as each participant excitedly prepared for their respective matches. Regardless of skill levels, everyone was ready to enjoy a wonderful night of netball, celebrating the spirit of the sport in its purest form.
Our first match of the evening featured Brammy Babes and Goal Diggers. The Babes wrapped up the game with a close score of 19-18. It was a joy to see the level of teamwork and commitment displayed by both teams, and their positive energy created an undeniably enjoyable atmosphere.
Next up were Thunderbirds and Rolling Stones, and what a game it was! Thunderbirds managed to secure the game with a score of 21-13. Each player's sportsmanship was commendable throughout the match, adding to the cheerful vibe of the evening.
The Queens and Queen Bees gave us a thrilling spectacle in their match, with the Queen Bees finishing on top, 29-16. Despite the score difference, the game was played in great spirit, with each team bringing their best to the court and displaying excellent sportsmanship.
Finally, we had the Stone Mermaids and Shooting Stars providing a captivating end to the evening, with a draw of 26-26. The match was a testament to the great spirits, with both teams showcasing their commitment and love for the game.
A special mention goes to the Most Valued Player of the evening, whose enthusiasm and agile movement around the court left a lasting impression. Their positive contribution didn’t go unnoticed by teammates and opponents alike, embodying the friendly and uplifting atmosphere of the event.
