Canterbury Monday Netball League 2024-01-08

The Canterbury Monday Netball league started its season on a high note yesterday, witnessing energetic participation from multiple teams. In the League, we saw some impressive performances and unexpected outcomes that foretell a thrilling season ahead.

The first match of the League saw the No Direction team take on Canterbury Hot Shots, and quite attractively, No Direction dominated the game, winning with a decisive 26-6 victory. Their tactics and coordination were on point, showing they are a force to be reckoned with this season.

In another intriguing match, Rowdy Rockets and Tigers faced off. The Rockets surpassed the Tigers with a significant 17-6 score. The players' excellent teamwork and strategic gameplay greatly contributed to the victory.

However, the highlight of the evening was the match between Win Or Booze and Shooting Stars. The Shooting Stars shone the brightest, chalking up a triumphant score of 20-3. The team's impressive play was a testament to their preparation leading up to the season.

The standout player of the week in the League was Hannah Blagden from Shooting Stars. Blagden showcased remarkable skill and agility throughout the game, making her a deserving recipient of the Most Valued Player title for the week. Her performance significantly aided the Shooting Stars in securing their win against Win Or Booze.
