Title: Intense Action in Week 9 of Worcester Monday Netball League

As the Worcester Monday Netball league week 9 came to a close last night, tensions were high with close matches and exceptional performances in both the Premier League and Division 1.

In the Premier League, the match between The Rockets and Worcester Ravens ended in a nail-biting tie, both teams scoring 9 points each. Severn Sirens emerged victorious against Perdiswell Shooters with a notable 16-10 victory. The Ball Busters outplayed Weakest Link, asserting their dominance with a 9-3 win.

In Division 1, the thriller match featured The Stars of Worcester facing off against Worcester Wildcats. The Wildcats showed their prowess, clawing a 10-4 win. The match between Sweaty Bettys and Worcester Sauces was a tightly fought contest, with the Sauces just edging out a victory with a 10-9 win. The Court Queens fell to Worcester Ladies, who displayed fine form to secure a 10-7 win.

The stand-out player of the week was Sam Holdaway from Worcester Sauces, who was named the most valued player for her exceptional performance, demonstrating great skill and sportsmanship. Holdaway's contribution was instrumental in earning the Sauces their narrow win against Sweaty Bettys.

The top scorers in each division were Severn Sirens in the Premier League with 16 points, while Worcester Wildcats led Division 1, also with 10 points. 

 I would also like to point out something that is probably obvious to us all but easy to loose sight of in the midst of play; the umpires give decisions based on what they see. Even if you feel that the decision is wrong it is unacceptable to show any attitude towards them and it will simply not be tolerated. Remember the umpires decision is final. 

With only a few weeks left in the season, every match counts as teams vie for the top positions in their respective divisions.   Fans can expect exciting matches and high-quality netball in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more action from the Worcester Monday Netball League.
