Grimsby Thursday Netball: Weekly News

The Oasis Academy Wintringham played host to another round of great matches of the Grimsby Thursday netball league. Here’s a look at this week’s results.

With a points match walkover and rest week for Scrambled Legs, we began the action with The Queens putting up a terrific performance to beat Hoops I did it Again 21-9, with Leander Swinburne taking home MVP. 

Shooting Stars and Nutty Netters battled it out in the next match, with the Stars prevailing 14-7, Chloe Greenacre taking home the award of MVP on the night. 

And to cap things off, we saw a fantastic contest between first and second, as the dominant Goal Getters faced the electric Cleethorpes Trinity in a very tight match. 

And it was the Trinity, who put in a wonderful shift to edge out the leaders 17-15, handing them their first loss of the season, after 12 games! They were inspired by another standout performance by Sarah Starket, who took home the accolade for player of the match.
