02/03/2023 As the Grimsby Thursday netball league approaches the final week of games, the penultimate week saw some crucial results, including one that has decided the title. The dominant Goal Getters, who have won all nine of the games so far this season convincingly, sealed the title with another stunning display, defeating the Queens 25-15 in an entertaining affair. As Sarah Chapman claimed MVP of the match, the league leaders are now eight points clear with one game left in the season, which means they are high and dry, completing yet another successful title defence. Cleethorpes Trinity and Shooting Stars locked horns in a very tight contest, pushing each other all the way before the Trinity picked up a 17-12 win, propelled by Aimee Wilson's standout performance. To cap off the round, Scrambled Legs battled it out against Hoops I Did It Again, as the former came away with a 16-12 win in another tough game, but it was Amy Reed who picked up MVP despite being on the losing side.
