In a thrilling display of athletic prowess and strategic team effort, the second week of the Chorley Sunday Netball League unfolded last night, with each team giving their best to the heated matches of Divisions 1 and 2.
In Division 1, the Goal Diggers put on an impressive show, outscoring Ball Busters 25 to 10. Their tenacious defence and strategic playstyle reaffirmed their dominance in the league. The crowd's energy soared for the Chorley Inferno Fireballs, but Hoops I Did It Again proved too formidable, securing a well-deserved victory of 28 to 16. In another exciting face-off, Victory Vipers slithered past The Sundays, outscoring them by a significant margin of 26 to 9.
Meanwhile, in Division 2, high-stakes games kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Astley Ballers went head-to-head against Hot Shots. In a tight match, the Ballers came out on top with a 29 to 23 victory. The fight between Chorley Flames and Net Rebels was another nail-biter, with the Rebels edging out the Flames, 31 to 25. The last game saw Netflicks And Balls triumph over The Firebirds, finishing the game with a 23 to 18 score line.
The top scorers of the divisions added more excitement to the day with their outstanding performances. In Division 1, Goal Diggers and Victory Vipers emerged as the top scorers with 25 and 26 goals respectively. As for Division 2, Astley Ballers and Net Rebels were the high scoring teams of the night with 29 and 31 goals each.
