NETBALL LEAGUE KICKS OFF WITH THRILLING CONTESTS

The highly-anticipated Chorley Sunday 7-a-side Netball league season got off to a rousing start last night, with riveting matches played in Division 1 and Division 2. All teams came out in full force, resulting in an exhilarating first round of matches.

In Division 1, Chorley Inferno Fireballs made a solid opening statement by defeating Goal Diggers 25-18. The Fireballs' impressive gameplay and cohesive team effort provided an exciting start to the season. However, it was the Victory Vipers who emerged as the top scorers of Division 1, with a 35-26 win against Hoops I Did It Again. The Vipers' precision and swift footwork made it a thrilling contest. The Sundays also claimed an early season victory over Netflicks and Balls with a 22-16 win, marking a favorable start to their campaign.

Moving onto Division 2, the Ball Busters and Astley Ballers locked horns in a fierce battle that ended in a 20-20 draw. Both teams showcased their mettle and it's clear this division will witness intense competition this season. Net Rebels, however, fell short to The Firebirds who clinched a 27-21 win. The high-scoring game of the night, undoubtedly, was between Chorley Flames and Hot Shots, with Flames torching their way to a 33-18 victory, thus positioning them as the top scorers of Division 2.
