Chorley Sunday Netball League: Week 9 Roundup

CHORLEY - The Chorley Sunday Netball League experienced another week of enthralling action as week nine of the season concluded last night.

In Division 1, the Chorley Inferno Fireballs made their presence known, outscoring the Hot Shots with a solid 35-22 victory. Their standout performance sets the tone for the remaining weeks of the league. However, the spotlight was stolen by the Victory Vipers, who dominated The Sundays with an impressive 38-20 win. The Vipers' player Clare Whittaker was singled out for her exceptional performance, earning herself the title of this week's most valued player.

Division 2 also saw its share of intense matches. Goal Diggers emerged victorious against Netflicks And Balls with a 24-14 win, adding another notch to their win streak. The Firebirds fired up the court with a commanding 43-29 victory over the Chorley Cowgirls. Last but not least, the Ball Busters proved too strong for the Astley Ballers, rounding off the match with a 31-25 win.

While the competition is heating up, it's clear that Clare Whittaker's performance has set a high standard. Her dynamism and skill have been pivotal for Victory Vipers' successful run.

With the top scorers in both divisions yet to be determined, it's clear that the pressure will be on in the coming weeks.
