Netball Thrills As Chorley Sunday League Week 5 Unfolds

The vibrant sporting atmosphere of Chorley Sunday couldn't have been more electric as week 5 of the 7-a-side Netball league played out. The exhilarating performances of the teams in Division 1 and Division 2 kept fans on the edge of their seats, making the event a thrilling spectacle.

In Division 1, we saw a fiery contest between Chorley Flames and Hoops I Did It Again. The game ended with the Hoops emerging victorious with a score of 31 to the Flames' 21. Hot Shots couldn't extinguish Chorley Inferno Fireballs as they went down 38-18 in a pulsating encounter. The Sundays and Victory Vipers faced off in a keenly contested game, with the Vipers skilfully securing a 32-21 victory.

Division 2 games didn't disappoint either. Astley Ballers were pipped at the post by Ball Busters, who managed a narrow 32-27 victory. The Firebirds soared high over Chorley Cowgirls, achieving a dominating 40-14 win. In the showdown between Goal Diggers and Netflicks And Balls, the Diggers dug deep to secure a compelling 40-16 win.

The star of the week was none other than Lauren Wood of Chorley Cowgirls. Despite her team's loss, Wood's exceptional performance on the court left an unforgettable impression, earning her the title of the most valued player of the week.

A week of high-octane sporting action in the Chorley Sunday Netball League has once again underscored the quality of the teams in Division 1 and Division 2.
