The new season begins....

Last night we very narrowly missed a downpour that could have made the court like a swimming pool, so we got lucky that everyone managed to stay dry and enjoy their netball!

let’s get down to it and find out who wins that weekly award that everyone wants...

TEAM OF THE WEEK!

There really was a couple of teams that could have claimed this award last night, but I feel that Desperate Housewives couldn’t have had a stronger start to the season than a 13-0 win. last season they were on a mission to get as close to that league summit as they could and really dug deep to claim the league runners up prize. It turns out that these girls aren’t planning to be a one season wonder and now once again sit 2nd in the league, level on points and goal difference with the top of the league. Desperate housewives yet again mean business and I'm sure will be aiming for that league title this season!

PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARDS!

Kathryn King - Girls with balls - Kathryn and her team unfortunately lost on Sunday night but this really was a strong captains performance from her, who really was a stand performer in defensive role for her team!

Camilla Domeneghetti - Muddy balls - Camilla was another player that was on the losing team but really did stand out still for her defensive work, often being in the right place at the right time to intercept the attacking play for her team!

Sarah Suddrey - Winging it - Sarah was one of the best centres of the night, She was everywhere and was involved in just about everything for her team, she really didn’t give the umpire any option but to award her with POTM this week!
