Jalapeños Hotties get their first win!

Since the end of lockdown, we have been very fortunate that we've had nice weather to enjoy our Sunday evenings at Mudeford Wood community centre, which hopefully will only improve as we go further into the summer!

Of course, because you guys are all so organised, especially when it comes to organising yourselves for netball, everything went as smoothly as possibly and was of course, as usual, another fun evening of playing 5 a side netball!

TEAM OF THE WEEK!

5 weeks played in their first ever season and Jalapeños Hotties finally get their first win on the league table, which also jumped them up the league table to now sit in 4th place! These girls have really found their form recently with their first draw last week and now their first win this week. Can they go 3 weeks undefeated or even better, get themselves onto a winning run? A final score of 9-3 really showed how much they've improved, especially against probably their main rivals in the league. They were the better team for most of the game, especially with the slight edge over their opponents in terms of shooting!

POTM AWARDS!

Abigail Darbyshire - Pocket rockets - Abigail really was captain fantastic on Sunday evening and lead by example! She always has so much energy, which makes her off the ball movement almost unplayable at times and Sunday night was no exception of that!

Fran Giles - Allsorts - Fran is often a player that gets overlooked because she is just consistently so good and she no longer stands out. When you play at her level every week, incredible performances are just expected and no longer appreciated. Quite simply, she doesn't miss ANY goal scoring opportunities!
