Another season has come to an end at Mudeford Wood Community centre in our 5 a side netball league.
Of course that doesn’t mean netball is over, in fact we will be straight back into the new season on the 27th of June, after fathers day.
LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
Of course there is still only one team we all expect to be league champions and that Allsorts. Of course Things got much more competitive for them this season, especially towards the end once the rest of the teams have really caught up and improved. Still though, you never expect these ladies to lose a game, even if they did come close and draw once. Another outstanding and unbeaten season for them at Mudeford Wood Community centre!
LEAGUE RUNNERS UP!
Desperate Housewives have managed to clinch 2nd place on the final day of the season on goal difference after their rivals lost their game at the hands of the league champions. Sounds complicated, but all that matters is that Morgan Ritchie-Haydn and her players have finished the season on a massive high after claiming runners up on their first season. These ladies really grew into the league as the season went on and I'm sure will be thrilled about their runners up position, but can they go one better next season?...
PLAYER OF THE SEASON!
Nicola Miller - Jalapeño Hotties - Nicola topped the table for POTS with 3 POTM awards and thoroughly deserved her individual accolade. She really had a hugely impressive season for her team and caught the umpires attention more than just the 3 times! Massive congratulations to Nicola!
THE UMPIRES CHOICES!
Our umpire was very keen on us making sure we mentioned Pocket Pockets as her most improved team. She was VERY impressed with their gradual progression throughout the season, who towards the end of the season, really looked like they could beat anyone!
The umpire also wanted us to mention her most improved player, who she believes was Michaela Pressely. Let’s be clear, she was never a bad player, but by the end of the season she really made that GK position her own and just completely bossed it and became very frustrating for any GK or GS to play against!
