 The inaugural week of the Lutterworth Monday League Netball season witnessed some thrilling matches with teams exhibiting a promising start to the season.

The League's opening day was packed full of surprises. Troubleshooters and Ashby Lane Adventures battled it out on the court, ultimately ending the match in an 8-8 draw. An exhibition of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, this match certainly set the tone for the season to come.

TopShots held a narrow edge over Bluebirds, securing a victory of 11-9. The intense back-and-forth between the teams had spectators on the edge of their seats and showcased the competitive spirit that fuels the League.

The Shooters struggled to keep pace with Diamonds, who emerged triumphant with a striking 17-8 victory but nevertheless showed great teamwork and spirit.

However, perhaps the most gripping match of the week belonged to Netchicks and Lutterworth Ladies, with Netchicks just managing to edge out a 15-13 victory. Netchicks' Becky Lucas was recognized as the most valued player of the week.Becky's performance on the court played a pivotal role in the Netchicks' hard-fought victory.

As the season has just begun, teams are still finding their footing. But with the level of competition already on display, fans can look forward to an exhilarating season of netball in the League.

We would like to say a big thankyou to our teams and umpires for making the effort to get to the new venue, we know it is a little further for some to get there.
