We are delighted to announce that netball-leagues.co.uk powered by Leisure Leagues will be starting a brand new fun and social netball league in Lincoln on Wednesday 14 June!
The Worlds largest provider, Leisure Leagues, renowned for their organisation and friendly football competitions expanded into the netball arena 5 years ago and have taken the country by storm. With successful Lincolnshire offerings in Grimsby and Market Rasen, the netball league operator is now looking to start an equally successful netball league in Cherry Willingham near Lincoln.
Area Manager, Michael Clark is delighted to see the company expanding into the historic city of Lincoln. “We’ve had a wonderful response to our fun and friendly leagues in Grimsby and Market Rasen so it’s exciting to see a further league being opened in Lincoln.” Asked what the league is about and why they are successful, he enthuses, “I think the appeal behind our leagues is that they are a pay as you play offering and not taken too seriously. We have ladies as young as 16 and even ladies playing well into their 60’s. It’s a fun league, an opportunity for women who either haven’t played for years who want to meet new people, get fit and socialise through sport. It doesn’t require experience or sponsorship or even equipment. We provide everything. The balls, bibs, public liability, everything.”
The league is looking for teams and individuals to sign up and register their interest online for the new league which will start with a friendly and informal “Return to Netball” training session on Wednesday 14 June at the Lifestyle Fitness sports centre in Cherry Willingham (as part of Pembroke Academy School). Interest can be done online at www.netball-leagues.co.uk or by calling / texting Michael at Netball Leagues on 07341810083
The training session on the 14 June costs just £5 per person and will last a maximum of 2 hours. This will consist of a retelling of our rules and some simple fun practice drills plus a few light games with a view of teams being formed for a fun and social league to resume 1-2 weeks after.
