The new season begins at Mudeford Sunday 5 a side netball

It was the start of our new Mudeford Sunday 5 a side netball league at Mudeford Wood Community Centre last night. There was a chill in the air as they colder weather starts to arrive but all 6 teams turned out for a great evening of netball.

The top three teams from last season avoided each other on the opening night as they all 3 picked up wins. Reigning champions Allsorts won 25-1 against Winging It as they went straight to the top of the table, Jamie Lee Suttle winning player of the game. The Twynham Tigers are in second place as they sealed a 20-2 win over Game Of Throws, a great performance though by Louise Scott for Game Of Throws to win player of the game. Finally Desperate Housewives captain Morgan Ritchie-Haydn capped a 19-3 win against Life's A Pitch with a player of the game performance.

It's great to see such a mixture of abilities at the league, the games might of been one sided this week but all teams netted and will have closer matches in weeks to come. 5 a side netball is great for fitness and keeps all players involved in the game throughout. A big thank you to Sam for running the night and to all our teams. See you all next week, thanks Rich and Kate.
