TROPHY PRESENTATIONS
If you run a large league, it is likely that you will have your presentation by a Central Operations Manager on the first week of the new season. Otherwise, the winners and runners up will be sent a form along with a certificate. They fill in the form and send it back to us either entering the next National Tournament where they will be presented with their trophies and champagne, or confirming they want their awards sent in the post. All last placed teams get a wooden spoon with silver plaques sent in the post automatically. Please speak to your usual Office Manager confirming the status of your league, or any queries that teams may put to you about presentations.
NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Please speak to your Office Manager should you wish to be considered as a Umpire in our National Tournaments. They are fantastic days, held on Saturdays usually, and attract over 100 teams in round robin then knockout format.
TOP UMPIRES
We have four award schemes for all our League Managers and Umpires. Gold badge umpires are the creme of our field staff. A Gold umpire will usually have been with us for more than 5 years and be exemplary in their levels of service. There are also silver and bronze umpires, and certificate umpires. We have about 25 Gold umpires, 50 silver umpires and 75 bronze umpires, with another 300 certificate umpires. Our Gold, Silver and Bronze umpires all do the following each week: Give out booklets to each team and put one up, wear the correct clothing, bank money regularly and always get friendlies played if a team fails to show. If you feel you are entitled to an award (you get a pin badge and certificate) please contact your Office Manager who will recommend you. Remember, the higher up the ranking you go, the more benefits you are entitled to.
